Puerto Rico Is Still Without Water Or Power, But It’s Columbus Day, So Guess What Trump Is Doing?
Donald Trump is spending Columbus Day at his golf club in Virginia, which sadly, is not a surprise anymore.
Trump arrived at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling just before noon Monday. The White House said he will be golfing with Republican Sen. Lindsay Graham.The South Carolina senator was seen loading golf clubs into a black SUV at the White House, and the White House confirmed Trump will be golfing with Graham.
Trump has regularly visited golf courses throughout his presidency, though his staff does not always confirm that he played.
As a candidate he attacked former President Barack Obama, saying he spent too much time playing golf.
Trump and Graham have had sometimes had a contentious relationship. The two were deeply critical of each other during the 2016 presidential primary.
Over the summer, they feuded over Trump’s response to a racially charges violence in Charlottesville, Va.
Graham told Trump this his claim there was violence “on many sides” fueled the controversy and that it was the president’s responsibility to “fix this.” Trump accused the “publicity seeking” senator of “falsely stat[ing] that I said there is moral equivalency between the KKK, neo-Nazis & white supremacists.”
Trump and Graham became allies last month during the Senate’s last-ditch push to repeal ObamaCare with a bill co-authored by Graham.
