Las Vegas Shooter Sent $100K To Girlfriend Before Massacre, Originally Planned Attack At Different Concert
According to NBC News, Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock wired $100,000 to the Philippines last week, days before committing what’s become the deadliest mass shooting in modern United States history.
Marilou Danley, Paddock’s girlfriend, is from the Philippines and was visiting the country on Sunday when the shooting took place. She is scheduled to return to the U.S. on Wednesday, according to officials.
Law enforcement officials originally considered Danley a person of interest in the investigation, but now say they believe she was not involved. The couple lived together in Mesquite, Nev., a city about 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas.
Paddock’s brother said the shooter was a “multimillionaire” who worked in real estate and accounting. In fact, Paddock’s brother Eric says $100K is no big deal:

Additionally, according to The Daily Beast, Paddock rented multiple condos overlooking the annual “Life Is Beautiful Festival”, which this year was headlined by Lorde and Chance the Rapper.
The Daily Beast’s source suggested that Paddock may have lost his nerve or simply changed his plans and checked into the Mandalay Bay Hotel on September 28. He then took a suite overlooking the Route 91 Harvest Festival and opened fire on an estimated 20,000 concertgoers below.
We’ve also learned from The Associated Press that Stephen Paddock was a mail carrier from 1976 to 1978, an IRS agent from 1978 to 1984, and that he graduated from California State University at Northridge in 1977.
