Prosecutors Issued Grand Jury Subpoenas On Guess Who In FBI’s Russia Investigation?

By  |

According to CNN, “Federal prosecutors have issued grand jury subpoenas to associates of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn seeking business records, as part of the ongoing probe of Russian meddling in last year’s election.”

This is the most significant development since the FBI began its investigation into the Trump campaign’s alleged collusion with Russian officials during the 2016 election.

The associates who received these subpoenas were those who worked with Flynn on foreign contracts once he was fired from the Defense Intelligence Agency in 2014.

The investigation into Mike Flynn stems from his failure to disclose payments made by foreign governments, including Turkey and Russia, when filing for his security clearance in the Trump White House.

He also failed to disclose a $45,000 payment for appearing at the ten-year anniversary event for Russia Today, the propaganda arm for the Kremlin.

Only in March did Flynn’s lobbying firm register as a foreign agent for the Turkish government.

Despite Trump’s desperate moves to thwart the investigation into his inner circle’s dealings with Russia – including the surprise firing of FBI Director James Comey today – it is encouraging to know that these investigations are still moving forward.

As Trump continues with his sloppy cover-up, his illegal actions regarding Russia will soon be exposed.
