Dying Oregon Man Told Trump Was Impeached So He Could Rest In Peace
How do you help a loved one who is dying feel that they are ready to let go—to move on?
Apparently, there is a simple trick: tell them that Trump has been impeached.
This is exactly what Teresa Elliot did for Michael Garland Elliot, her ex-husband and best friend.
In his last moments, Teresa wanted her friend to die in comfort, so she lied. The obituary states:
Mike ran out of family long ago and is survived by his ex-wife and best friend, Teresa Elliott.
Though their marriage ran aground, their friendship only grew stronger and hers was the last voice Mike heard.
And the last thing she said to him was “Donald Trump has been impeached.”
Upon hearing that he took his final, gentle breath, his earthly work concluded.
The beginning of the obituary reads, “Michael Garland Elliott passed away peacefully, April 6, 2017, surrounded by people who loved him dearly and cared for him selflessly during the last months of his life.”
Sometimes the greatest love is to lie—but hopefully, Teresa’s words won’t be a lie for much longer.
This is not the first time Trump has been brought up in death. In January 2016, Pittsburgh doctor Jeffery Choen requested his obituary to say n lieu of flowers, please do not vote for Donald Trump.
