“You can’t arrest me, I’m white!” shouted one protester at Capitol Police.

Sessions faced tough questioning during his 1986 hearings regarding comments he’d made regarding black political organizations, as well as about the KKK. He admitted to saying that he was “ok with the Klan until he found out they smoked marijuana,” a statement he characterized as a joke.
Then US Attorney Sessions was also taken to task for several apparently constructive voter fraud prosecutions undertaken by his office, widely viewed as an effort to suppress black voters.
The hearings are being held live now.
