Streisand Backs Streep And SHREDS Trump A New Asshole

Singer Barbra Streisand spoke against Donald Trump for criticizing actress Meryl Streep’s Golden Globes speech on Sunday night.

Appearing on MSNBC, Streisand told host Chris Matthews, “You can’t trust anything he says because if you get on his wrong side he will blast you negatively.”

“Why isn’t he sitting through briefings rather than tweeting this nonsense?” Streisand asked of Trump. “And in a rating war with Arnold Schwarzenegger? I don’t know how we’re going to take four years of this.”

Trump tweeted Monday about Streep’s remarks at the Golden Globes, calling Streep “overrated” and “a Hillary flunky who lost big” even as reports surfaced that he’d previously called Streep one of his favorite actresses.

Streep slammed Trump at the Golden Globes on Sunday night, criticizing him for mockingly imitating a disabled reporter at one of his rallies during his presidential campaign.

Streisand said she agreed with Streep’s speech and thought she delivered the message “beautifully.”

“I thought she said what she said beautifully and it’s easy enough to see the video online of Trump mocking and I completely agree with Meryl: it was a heartbreaking moment and so beneath the dignity of the presidency, let alone any respectful person,” Streisand said.

“What he did and how he reacts and how he has the need to talk back and insult anybody who doesn’t agree with him and that’s pretty disgraceful,” she added.
