VIDEO: Hillary Receives a Standing Ovation on Broadway! Just Think How Embarressed Pence is Now!
Not long ago, while attending the Broadway musical ‘Hamilton,’ Vice President-elect Mike Pence was given a message from the cast and crew about how he and Donald Trump need to remember that we’re a diverse nation. Brandon Victor, who plays Aaron Burr, said:
“We, sir — we — are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights. We truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us.”
It was a message that needed to be said, and unlike Trump, Pence took it to heart and wasn’t offended. As he shouldn’t be.
Experiencing a much different moment at a Broadway musical, Hillary Clinton, while attending ‘The Color Purple’ on Sunday, received a standing ovation. She’s definitely not one that needs to work on her inclusiveness, and she is clearly beloved by the cast, crew and everyone else in attendance.
According to the New York Times:
“Mrs. Clinton, accompanied by her husband, Bill Clinton, and their daughter, Chelsea, received a sustained standing ovation from the sold-out audience as she arrived, and then another huge round of applause when she was acknowledged by the cast after the show.”
It’s a moment that will bring any Hillary supporter to tears, because she is still so beloved, and did, in fact, win the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes. And seeing how well she was received as compared to Pence’s moment at a Broadway show, the vice president-elect must be at least slightly jealous.
It was a beautiful moment.
